Three-time Academy Award winner Ve Neill (Ed Wood, 1994 and Mrs. Doubtfire, 1993) explores the secrets behind Hollywood’s most memorable character looks. She also highlights the design of dark and macabre characters from Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007), currently on display in the Identity gallery.

Member Preview | The Horror Show
The Horror Show is a bold and immersive exhibition that bridges the gap between cinema and experience, honoring horror’s enormous cultural impact and enduring popularity.
Winding through six thematic chambers, the exhibition includes original props, costumes, and production materials, including the cape worn by Bela Lugosi in Dracula (1931), an original mask from Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954), fully costumed figures of Freddy Krueger, Michael Myers, Ghost Face, and more.
Museum members enjoy exclusive, complimentary exhibition access Friday, September 25 from 10am to 6pm. Members also can purchase guest tickets. The exhibition opens to the public Saturday, September 26.
The Horror Show is organized by Senior Exhibitions Curator Jessica Niebel with Assistant Curator Nicholas Barlow and Curatorial Assistant Alexandra James Salichs.
This exhibition explores themes that may not be suitable for all ages and may disturb some visitors. Parental guidance is advised. If you have questions about the content, please speak with a gallery associate.
